About Me
Born in '86, I've spent most of my life in front of a computer monitor. I taught myself HTML and CSS, over a weekend in (the ancient times of) 1999, and haven't stopped loving it since.
I am a huge fan of selfhosting, free and open source software (FOSS) and a advocate for privacy on the net and keeping your data to yourself.
About the Blog
This blog is a creative outlet for me. To write about topics that interest me and to help people learn how to free themselves from the shackles of big corporations, and the whims of shareholders, in their daily live on the web.
And since I was interested in working with static site generators, I decided to start my first blog, with the help of 11ty and 11ty Base Blog, to improve my writing skills.
Here you'll find guides on selfhosting, alternative software, security and Linux. As well as the occasional ramblings about the enshitification of todays web and technology.
Since this is a hobby project, I don't plan to make money with it. There will be no ads, tracking, cookies, affiliate marketing or AI slop on this blog. Everything I write about is based on my own experiences and opinions.
